Symptoms:
Frayed fins
Fin edges turning white
Base of fins enflamed
Entire fin rotting away
Raw looking fins
Treatments:
Water change
Antibiotics such as MelaFix
Addition of Aquarium Salt
Check tank PH
Check tank temp, maybe your heater is broken?
*Common ROOT causes are poor water quality, overcrowding and overfeeding. Clean your gravel, change your water and medicate your fish, watching the sick ones very carefully. You may also want to make sure no other fish are nipping off the fins! Oxytetracyclin Tetracycline are good Medication choices. Treat according to manufacturers instructions.
